"The Jared L. Brown Memorial Scholarship" is a one-time $500.00 scholarship awarded annually to a graduating senior who are a survivor of gun violence or who have lost an immediate family member to gun violence including suicide by gun. 

Named in honor of Jared L. Brown whose life was taken by senseless gun violence.

 July 11, 2015 after being struck by a stray bullet Jared died instantly.

 This award recognizes the importance of educating students whose lives have been impacted by preventable gun violence.
